Welcome
This site is managed by
the Friends of Ringwood Forest (FoRF). It aims to be a
source of information about the Hampshire and Dorset Authorities'
Minerals & Waste proposals for Ringwood Forest and
Moors Valley Country Park & Forest and the associated
democratic consultation processes.
Founded in April 2011, FoRF is a community driven pressure
group run by volunteers. It represents a growing number
of supporters (3,400+ in Dec 2013), known as the Interest
Group, drawn from the people of Verwood, other Dorset
& Hampshire towns & villages and many other UK
& International locations who share a set of common
aims.
Our Story so far
Since April 2011 FoRF has organised the "No To Purple
Haze" campaign opposing Hampshire's allocation of
part of Ringwood Forest and Moors Valley Country Park
& Forest (MVCP) as a quarry and landfill site known
as Purple Haze (North).

expanded to include Purple Haze (South) after the site
was offered to Dorset as a quarry & restoration site.

Funding & Donations
FoRF is a small, dedicated organisation which is dependant
entirely on public generosity to meet its day to day running
costs. If you are able to support the campaign in this
way, and regardless of the amount you can afford to donate
to this worthwhile cause, please click here.
Thank you.
